Trying to pick a favorite Bible verse about love was like trying to pick a favorite child. Except I don’t have kids, so it was more like trying to pick my favorite sandwich.
I finally decided on 1 John 4:7-8:
Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
Way better than a sandwich.
I just can’t help but think of the sunday school song I learned as a kid that goes with that verse! No better way to memorize verses than putting them to music . . .
It cracks me up when I’m reading my Bible and I come across a verse that has a song associated with it. Half the time the lyrics diverge from the verse and I have a hard time following what the page says!
Way better than a sandwich ;)
