This month, I had a lot of verses to choose from on patience and waiting. I finally decided on Psalm 37:7-9:
Be still in the presence of the Lord
and wait patiently for him to act.
Don’t worry about evil people who prosper
or fret about their wicked schemes.
I spend too much time needlessly worrying about other people and their plans. These people aren’t necessarily wicked or evil, but they definitely take up a lot of brain space that could be focusing on other, better things. Instead, I will be still and wait for God to act. That, in its essence, is patience.
I’ve created a printable PDF if you’d like to carry this verse around with you. Click on the above image and it will take you to a downloadable PDF that you can print for yourself!
