W.i.P. Wednesday

WiP Wednesday ButtonIt doesn’t feel like it’s already Wednesday! I stayed home sick on Monday (dear God, the snot), so my week is a little out of sorts. But as my calendar is telling me it’s Wednesday, it looks like it’s time for another W.i.P. update.

This week, I finished up my Idea Pouch and my Mini Quilt with Curves. I also made some cute Fall Printables that you can download and print at home!

I actually worked on my Essential Quilting quilt a little, adding the borders. I met Deborah (owner of Whipstitch, who taught the class) briefly at Sewing Summit, and she at least inspired me to take the quilt out of my W.i.P. box and work on it a bit. We’ll see if I can’t get the darn thing done soon.

I chose fabrics for my Hoop-La-La swap, and I need to pick up a hoop tomorrow after work so I can, you know, make it. I have a weird idea. I’m not sure if it’s going to work or if my partner is going to like it, but I thought I’d give it a shot.

I also worked on two new projects this week, both of which are finished and waiting to be photographed. My dad and I are going to try and work on photography this weekend. He has a Grown Up Camera and it looks like it will be able to get better shots of my work. I’m tired of yelling at my little camera, wishing it would produce the kind of pictures I want. It doesn’t deserve my wrath. It just wasn’t meant to take such photos!

  1. I haven’t been to bed yet (I was watching The Avengers), and I’m not wearing my glasses, but I first read that your posts were over at “Freshly Pierced.” Funny thing, though: my first thought was, “I’ve never seen Cori on Freshly Pierced!” (Seriously, I’d take piercings over tatts anyday, but Good Lord, I can’t imagine an entire site of them.)

  2. Oooh… love the bats! Hope you’re feeling better.
